North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has instructed mass scale production of suicide attack drones, as reports of state media report. The drones were developed by North Korea’s Unmanned Aerial Technology Complex (UATC). Kim Jong supervised the drones which is made to hit both land and sea targets.
According to Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), “He underscored the need to build a serial production system as early as possible and go into full-scale mass production”.
These “Suicide drones” are the drones which have explosives and are designed to crash into enemy targets. The drones functions similarly to the missiles.
“The suicide attack drones to be used within different striking ranges are to perform a mission to precisely attack any enemy targets on the ground and in the sea,” said Korean Central News Agency.
North Korean leader Kim described these drones as “easy to use” and “component of striking power”. This is because of their low production cost and expansive range of applications, as reported by KCNA.
As reported by KCNA, The test conducted on Thursday saw the drones precisely hitting target after following their path.
These drones are designed in such a way, that it easily carry explosive with it and target them into enemy. Pyongyang got it first drone in the month of August.
North Korea sent the drone across the border in the year 2022, and the South Korean Military was unable to shoot them because of their smaller size. Earlier this year, North Korean accused the South Korea of flying drones in their territory.
