In the series-opener, Jason Holder ran through the English batting line-up. He was the pick of the Indian bowlers and scalped 4 wickets for just 7 runs. Riding on his spell, the Kieron Pollard-led side just dismantled the visitors and bowled them out for 103. 

Chris Jordan top-scored for England and hit 28 off 23. Courtesy of his 28 and Adil Rashid’s 22, England breached the 100-run mark.

West Indies cruised to an easy 9-wicket win in just under 18 overs. Brandon King played a match-winning knock of 52. Shai Hope scored 20 off 25 while Nicholas Pooran remained unbeaten on 27 off 29.
