It’s the power-hitting West Indies vs the current 50-over world champions England as the two teams will lock horns against each other tonight (23 January) for the second T20 International in the five-match series that began yesterday.
The former West Indian captain Jason Holder just ran through the English batting line-up in the first game. He was the pick of the West Indian bowlers after he gave away just 7 runs and picked up 4 wickets in that process. The Kieron Pollard-led side dismantled the visitors with an astonishing bowling display.
Chris Jordan top-scored for England. He and Adil Rashid stitched together a very important partnership for England which prompted the visitors to go past the 100 run mark in their allotted 20 overs.
West Indies cruised to an easy 9-wicket win in just under 18 overs. Brandon King played a match-winning knock of 52* runs. He along with Nicolas Pooran finished off the match for the Windies. The sole wicket to fall was of Shai Hope who was stumped by Sam Billings of a ball by Adil Rashid.
