‘We’ll free education completely from English’: Shivraj Chouhan ahead of launch of Hindi medical books

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan  said that his government will try to free the education system in the state from the English language and asked why we have to remain slaves to a foreign language. His statements come as Union Home Minister Amit Shah, an ardent preacher of vernacular languages, is set to visit Madhya Pradesh to launch a Hindi version of medical education books for students who studied in non-English medium schools to make the course smoother and easier for them.
“We’ll free education completely from English. We are not against English, if someone wants to study in the language there’s no compulsion. We are going to start education in Hindi in 6 engineering colleges and 6 polytech colleges this year,” said Chouhan.
“It is our dream to start education in Hindi at IITs and IIMs in the state,” Chouhan added.
Asking why Indian students have to be slaves to the English language, Chouhan asked, “Why do we have to be a slave to the English language? If Chinese, Japanese, Germans, Russians, and French can study and express their talents in their own respective languages and score high positions then why can’t our children do that?

Amit Shah to launch medical books in Hindi

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and veteran BJP leader will reach Madhya Pradesh on Sunday to launch the Hindi version of the medical studies book to make education assessable and smooth for students who have studied in Hindi medium and find it difficult to grasp the content in English.
Calling it a golden day in Indian history, Chouhan said that the state is ready to share the books with other states to help students understand the contents better.
“We will share the (Hindi medical education) books that we have prepared, with other states. I’ll meet with CMs of all states regarding this. Whatever we have, we will give to others and if they (other states) do well in anything, we will take from them,” he added.
