Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel campaigned for Congress in Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming assembly elections and said that the party will waive off the loans of the farmers. Highlighting that when Congress formed government in Chhattisgarh, it weaved off the loans of the farmers within 2 hours, Baghel promised that the party would do the same in Himachal Pradesh if comes to power.
Endorsing its so-called Chhattisgarh model, Baghel said, “Congress has given you 10 guarantees and I’ll tell you how we’ll get through. I have come from Chhattisgarh where Rahul Gandhi promised to waive off farmers’ loans within 10 days. However, when we formed the government, we did it not within 10 days or 10 hours but within 2 hours.”
The Chhattisgarh minister also attacked the BJP for its policies and rising inflation and said that the current government is pulling out money from the pockets of the common people. He also targeted the government for the unfettered rise in fuel prices and GST.
“The BJP government is only working to pull out money from the pockets of the people. They are doing so by increasing the prices of petrol, diesel, and PNG. And on top of it all, now they’ve imposed GST on rotis and parathas that mean the most to a common man. We ask you to make the Congress win with a thumping majority,” he added.
