Apart from a rare off-day in India’s defeat against South Africa and a sluggish outing against Zimbabwe, Kohli looked in incredible touch and certainly was back to his best. Throughout the tournament, he proved to be the anchor who the entire Indian batting unit played around. With the openers failing in almost every game, Kohli walked in early in all six games but managed to get the Indians innings back on track on every occasion.

The former India captain has a total of 1141 runs in 27 games at an incredible average of 81.50. Despite this incredible record in the competition, Kohli is yet to lift the trophy in his career.
