Vineeta Singh, SUGAR Cosmetics CEO, has become a popular face ever since she appeared on the first season of business reality show Shark Tank India. Always seen on the ‘Shark’ seat, grilling pitchers before making any investment in their company, Singh on Friday got a taste of how things are like at the other side of the table.
The second season of the much-loved show ran for 50 episodes and on the finale episode of Shark Tank India 2, Singh herself entered the tank as a pitcher. For Singh, who has been in the shoes of a judge for two consecutive seasons, ” standing there & pitching SUGAR from 2016 was different level of scary & fun!”
“Even though I think about myself in the pitcher’s shoes during every Shark Tank India pitch, standing there and pitching SUGAR Cosmetics from 2016 to the Sharks was at a different level,” Singh said in a tweet on Friday, adding that Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal told her she won’t be shown any mercy.
As a surprise, Singh was accompanied by a co-pitcher who was none other that her husband Kaushik Mukherjee, with whom she co-founder her cosmetics brand.

The entrepreneur, in another clip posted on the handle, talks about the vision behind creating SUGAR. She describes how the colour cosmetics industry has 40% unbranded, unsafe, non-FDA products. To fulfil the need of a safe cosmetics brand, we launch SUGAR Cosmetics, Mukherjee added.
