Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav hit out at CM Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh after five members of a family were found murdered in UP’s Praygarah district.
Taking to Twitter, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said Uttar Pradesh has drowned in crime “under the rule of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government 2.0.”He also shared the clipping of a news article that quoted police as saying that the five members of a family, including three children, were found murdered at their home in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj district.

Earlier on Monday, the Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav had made similar allegations saying that in the second term of the BJP-led government in Uttar Pradesh, criminals have become more fearless and a “bullet train of crime” is running in the state.
“In the second term of the BJP in UP, criminals are more fearless than before. They have no fear of the police at all. Incidents of bank robbery, locker theft, rape, shooting, and murder are taking place unabated. The people of the state are scared and there is an atmosphere of fear all around. A bullet train of crime is running in UP,” the Akhilesh had said in a statement.
The BJP-led NDA retained power in the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh polls, winning 273 seats in the 403-member Assembly. Despite aggressively positioning itself against the saffron party, Akhilesh-led SP finished the poll race at a distant second position, winning 111 seats.
