Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tripura
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the New Integrated Terminal Building at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala worth Rs 450 crores in the presence of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
PM Modi also launched key initiatives such as the Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana and Project Mission 100 of Vidyajyoti Schools in Tripura.
“The previous government had no vision for the state. I had assured ‘HIRA’ (H-highways, I- internet way, R-railways, A-airport) model of development in Tripura. Work is underway to develop Tripura as a gateway to the northeast… Through Kisan rail, Tripura is exporting organic vegetables and fruits across the country. Tripura can also play an important role by providing an alternative to single-use plastic. A huge market is being created in the country for bamboo products,” PM Modi said.
“The double engine government led by Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji has opened avenues of development for Tripura and the people of the state are showing their gratitude to the Hon’ble PM with their presence at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Agartala,” Deb tweeted sharing photos of the crowd.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Manipur
Prime minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday laid the foundation stones for nine projects worth Rs 4,815 crore and dedicated 13 others to the nation during an event in Manipur.
“The Barak River Bridge is a new lifeline for the state of Manipur and a new all-weather connectivity channel. The Thoubal multipurpose project and the Tamenglong water supply scheme is providing clean drinking for all people in this region,” the BJP’s official Twitter handle quoted him as saying.
“Along with the schemes for which the foundation stone has been laid and inaugurated today, I will also thank the people of Manipur again. You formed such a stable government in Manipur which is running with full majority, with full force. This happened because of your one vote,” he added.
Previous governments, he alleged, had worked with a ‘dont look east’ strategy. “We, however, decided to work on the ‘act east’ policy. We’re working on the immense possibilities in the tourism sector and natural resources this region possesses,” he said.
Developmental projects worth thousands of crores launched in both states
In Manipur, PM Modi inaugurated 13 projects worth around Rs 1850 crores and laid the foundation stone of 9 projects worth around Rs 2950 crore.
