NOAH’S TEARFUL FAREWELL
While talking to the live audience, Noah told them that he is grateful, adding, “I remember when we started the show, we couldn’t get enough people to fill an audience.
Noah added that he never takes audiences for granted at his shows, thanking viewers at home who shared clips. The outgoing host even had a few words for critics, saying, “”Even the people who hate-watched — we still got the ratings, thank you. I’m eternally grateful to you.”
DEDICATION TO BLACK WOMEN
Noah’s farewell message was ultimately dedicated to the Black women who shared him life. He said, “I’ve often been credited with having these grand ideas — people are like, ‘Oh Trevor, you’re so smart’ — and I’m like, ‘Who do you think teaches me? Who do you think has shaped me, nourished me, informed me,’ you know?” The anchor alluded to his mother, grandmother and aunts as being especially involved in shaping his life.
He went on to state that he always tells people that if they want to learn about Amercia, they should talk to Black women, since unlike everybody else, “Black women can’t afford to f— around and find out.”
Noah choked up at this point, eding his speech by telling the audience, “This has been an honor. Thank you.”

Hughley, Leslie Jones, John Leguizamo, Hasan Minhaj, Kal Penn, Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes, and Marlon Wayans, set to host the episode.
