There’s ‘Mo-Mo’ understanding in Bengal: Congress alleges coalition between Mamata Banerjee and PM Modi

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury  alleged a coalition between West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to oust the grand old party from Bengal.
He called it a ‘Mo-Mo’ understanding between the two leaders.
While speaking to media, Chowdhury said, “There’s ‘Mo-Mo’, an understanding betwee Mamata Banerjee and Modi ji. Mamata ji can’t do anything that will upset Modi ji.”
When Modi ji says – India ‘Congress-free’, then Mamata ji also says Congress should be removed from Bengal. Many appreciating Bharat Jodo Yatra, but her,” he added.
The Congress leader’s attack has come a day after the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) confirmed it will join the Congress-CPI(M) alliance in the upcoming Tripura Assembly elections.
“The TMC is not going to forge any electoral understanding with the CPI(M)-Congress combine in the ensuing Tripura Assembly elections because many Congress leaders and workers who had suffered during Communist regime will not vote for their own party”, said Tripura Trinamool Congress president Pijush Kanti Biswas.
“Our assessment is that the CPI(M)-Congress initiative will face the similar fate what had happened in West Bengal Assembly election in 2021, that’s why we will keep our distance from it”, he said.
Election to the 60-member Tripura Assembly will be held on February 16.
