Thank God Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn’s Film Hits A Rough Patch, Earns ₹ 14 Crore

Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh’s Thank God released on October 25, a day after Diwali. Now, as per the latest box office development, the film has hit a “rough patch”. Film analyst Taran Adarsh, in a tweet, said that the fantasy comedy-drama has taken a dip at the box office on the second day of its release. Thank God earned about Rs 8.10 crores on the first day. Thereafter, the number came down to ₹ 6 crores on the second day. The film clashed with Ram Setu featuring Akshay Kumar. The post shared by Taran Adarsh read, “Thank God hits a rough patch on Day 2… The business remains weak, despite the ongoing holiday period…Simply put, the 2-day total is underwhelming… The business on Thursday and Friday [working days] need to stay on similar levels… Tuesday 8.10 cr, Wednesday 6 cr. Total: ₹ 14.10 cr.”

Ajay Devgn plays Chitragupt in Thank God. Whereas, Sidharth Malhotra’s Ayan Kapoor is seen venturing “into the game of life and redeems himself of all his sins.”  Thank God is directed by Indra Kumar. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar have jointly bankrolled the project. With this film, Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra have shared the screen space for the first time. Before Thank God, Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh were seen together in Runway 34.

Sidharth Malhotra will next feature in Mission Majnu alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The film is directed by Shantanu Bagchi.
