Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Telangana Party (YSRTP) chief YS Sharmila lashed out at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. While addressing media personnel in Mahbubabad, Sharmila called KCR, a tyrant and compared him with the Taliban.
“He (Telangana CM KCR) is a dictator, he is a tyrant, there is no Indian Constitution in Telangana, there is only KCR’s Constitution. Telangana is the Afghanistan of India and KCR is its Taliban,” the YSRTP chief. She further added that KCR did not understand democratic language.
On Sunday, Sharmila was arrested for making “derogatory” remarks against Mahabubabad MLA Shankar Naik. After the arrest, she was moved to Hyderabad to avoid a law and order situation in Mahabubabad. Notably, Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supporters also staged a protest against her in the district
A case has been registered against Sharmila under sections 504 IPC, 3(1)r SC ST POA Act. The YSRTP chief had said, “This shameless MLA has the nerve to use the most derogatory and filthy language against us for questioning his misdeeds and his failure to ensure the good governance to the people of this constituency.”
She made the controversial statement on Saturday. “You gave many promises to the people, which you have not fulfilled. If you are not fulfilling your promises, that means you are a kojja [castrate],” Sharmila stated.
She further added, “I wonder how these corrupt leaders should be addressed. What should we call them for failing in every aspect and not fulfilling any promise, and for resorting to corruption and land grabbing.” Sharmila called Naik a briber.
