Marathi actress Tejaswini Pandit recently recalled a horrifying incident that happened during the struggling days of her career. The diva revealed that a Pune-based corporator allegedly asked her for sexual favours. She further added that he was owning a house in Pune and the actress was staying on rent in his house.
TEJASWINI PANDIT’S SHOCKING REVELATION
While recalling a horrifying incident, Tejaswini Pandit said, “It was around 2009-10 and I used to stay in a rental apartment on Sinhagad Road (in Pune). At that time, only one or two movies of mine had been released. The apartment was owned by a corporator. When I reached his office to pay rent, he made a direct offer to me… There was a glass of water on the table, I picked it up and threw it on his face. I did not enter this profession to do such things, or else I would not have stayed in a rental apartment. I would have brought homes and cars and whatnot.”
TEJASWINI SAID PEOPLE JUDGED HER BECAUSE OF HER PROFESSION
Tejaswini Pandit feels that people judged her because of her profession. In a conversation with Soumitra Pote for his podcast Mitramhane, the Tu Hi Re star said, “It was a combination of two things. They judged me because of my profession and because my financial position was weak. It was a learning experience for me.”
Looks like, Tejaswini Pandit was very disturbed by the incident. For the unversed, she is currently promoting her new web series Athang. She is the daughter of actress, Jyoti Chandekar.
Tejaswini made her acting debut in 2004 with Kedar Shinde’s film Aga Bai Arrecha. The actress has featured in several popular Marathi films such as Deva, Tu Hi Re, Mee Sindhutai Sapkal, Natha Pure Aata and so on.
