Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai challenges DMK to arrest him after backing over migrant workers attack

State BJP president K Annamalai  taunted the MK Stalin-led DMK government to “arrest him within 24 hours” after being charged by police in connection with alleged attacks on migrant labourers in Tamil Nadu. He also claimed that bogus charges have been filed against him.
The BJP leader’s most recent comments came after the state’s Cyber Crime Directorate accused him of, among other things, instigating violence and fostering animosity amongst communities.
“You [DMK government] think that you can suppress the voice of democracy by filing false cases. As a common man, I give you 24 hours, to touch me if possible,” Annamalai said in a tweet.
A day after he blamed the state government for the ongoing controversy surrounding migrant workers in the southern state, the police took action.
Turning to Twitter, Annamalai further said that the police’s response [of initiating proceedings against him] came after he exposed “DMK’s seven-decade propaganda against the north Indian people”.
