India were supposed to take on New Zealand in their final warm-up game before they officially kicked off their campaign for the T20 World Cup against Pakistan on October 23. However, both the teams and their fans were left disappointed as the match has been called off due to heavy rain in Brisbane.

Umpire Paul Reiffel decided to call off the game after speaking to the groundsmen, as the rain showed no signs of stopping. Even if it stopped, the ground would not have been ready in the stipulated cut-off time for even a five-over game.
