Sweden Quran burning row reaches Mumbai, poster of Bajrang Dal leader found pasted on streets

The row between Sweden and Turkey over burning of Quran has gone global. The bitter dispute over sacred Islamic text burning has now reached on the streets of Mumbai.
A poster of Bajrang Dal leader has now been pasted on Jari-Mari Road in Sakinaka. The two men allegedly pasted the poster of Madhya Pradesh resident and Bajrang Dal leader Tanu Sharma on the road with a shoe sticker on his photo.
It is alleged that Tanu Sharma was reportedly involved in raising objectionable slogans against Prophet Muhammad in Indore during protests against Pathaan movie.
The two men also pasted the poster of Rasmus Paludan, leader of the Danish far-right political party Hard Line, on Mumbai streets.
Meanwhile, the city police have arrested the two Muslim men in connection with the incident. They were identified by police with the help of CCTV footage. Mumbai Police said they are probing the matter further.
Notably, Sweden and Turkey are embroiled in a diplomatic row after Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan burned a copy of Quran, the holy book of Muslims, outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm in January 21.
Last year, Paludan announced ‘Quran burning tour’ during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. His announcement later sparked riots across Sweden in April last year.
Meanwhile, Raza Academy in Mumbai said it will stage a protest at Bilal Masjid in Mumbai against Paludan’s act on Friday.
