Swara Bhasker slams Gautam Gambhir for saying ‘secular liberals’ are silent on Nupur Sharma matter

The former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s recent alleged remark on Prophet Muhammad has been making the headlines. Her remark angered the netizens and people started slamming her for this. Amid all these, Nupur Sharma got suspended from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
However, the slamming did not stop there. People went out on the streets and started protesting against Nupur Sharma and she even received rape and death threats. Violent protests have also been carried out in different parts of the country demanding the arrest of Nupur Sharma. After the protests turned a bit violent, police started taking actions against them and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath took some serious steps against the protest.
According to several media reports, more than 200 arrests have been made across UP and even bulldozers are out on the streets.
While not many celebrities have reacted to the Nupur Sharma’s alleged comment on Prophet Muhammad row, Swara Bhasker has been voicing her opinion on social media about the same. Recently, the Tanu Weds Manu Returns actress took to her Instagram to slam former cricketer and politician Gautam Gambhir who said “secular liberals” are silent on the Nupur Sharma matter.
Gautam Gambhir shared a tweet that read, “Silence of so called ‘secular liberals’ on the sickening display of hatred & death threats throughout the country against a woman who has apologised is surely DEAFENING! #LetsTolerateIntolerance.”
Meanwhile, Nupur Sharma’s alleged comment on Prophet Muhammad also set off a huge international backlash and Swara also reacted to that in a tweet that read, “Oh hey @NupurSharmaBJP! Hope you are celebrating the international shame your hate filled rabble rousing has brought India!”
