Suriya is currently gearing up for the release of his biggest untitled project Suriya 42 along with Disha Patani. Recently, Ganavel Raja, the producer of the film opened up about his yet-untitled upcoming Tamil film. He said that this is three times more than the usual budget for Suriya’s films so far.
During an interaction with an online portal, the Suryia 42 producer revealed that SS Rajamouli’s films are the inspiration behind this big-budget film and ambitious projects. He told Galatta’s YouTube channel, “After seeing the motion poster of the film by the director, I understood that I am not producing a normal film. This film is made on a budget that’s thrice the amount of Suriya’s biggest film so far. Even Suriya sir doesn’t know this because he will panic.”
Going forward, he shared that the Jai Bhim actor ‘is careful about taking risks and affecting the producer” and revealed that his team hid the budget from Suriya though he ‘understands that we are up to doing something big visually’.
Meanwhile, talking about deciding to spend big bucks on the project, Gnanavel praised SS Rajamouli for paving the way. He stated, “Be it Pushpa or Suriya 42 or any project from here, if it is making noise in Mumbai, it is because of Rajamouli sir. If he hadn’t done something like Baahubali, we would have nothing to do in Bombay. The reason behind Suriya 42’s big budget is Rajamouli. If he hadn’t opened the window, we wouldn’t have been able to do it.”
Coming back to the untitled film, it is being produced by Studio Green Gnanavel Raja and has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Disha Patani plays the female lead in this film, which has cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy, who had shot superhits like Ajith-starrer Veeram and Vedalam.
Richard Kevin, who did a fine job editing superhits like the critically acclaimed Vikram Vedha and the recently released webseries Suzhal, has been brought on board this film as its editor.
