Subi Suresh, Malayalam actress and anchor, dies at 41

One of the renowned Malayalam actresses and TV anchors Subi Suresh passed away (February 22). The 41-year-old actress was reportedly suffering from liver ailments and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kochi.
Over the years, Subi has carved her own niche in the industry and she is one of the few women specialising in comedy on both big and mini-screens. Every now and then, the diva has proven her skills as a comedian and a character artist in several Malayalam movies.
In 1993, when the evergreen comedy show Cinemala was aired, Subi became a household name for her stunning characters. She rose to fame and started working in both movies and TV shows.
Later, Subi has hosted shows such as Mazhavil Manorama’s Made for Each Other and Kutty Pattalam on Surya TV among others. Her humour has always been received well by the audiences.
The actress was last seen in a kids’ show Kutty Pattalam. Besides this, Subi also worked in films, including Grihanathan, Thaksara Lahala, Elsamma Enna Aankutty, Drama, Kaaryasthan.
