Director Rohit Shetty managed to build a lot of anticipation around his new film Singham Again. Whether it was through cameos by Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar or its star-studded cast, the film caught eyeballs before its release. However, the first reaction from the audience after the film’s release was not as one would expect. People were disappointed and how. But no matter how the reviews were, the film managed to collect Rs 121 crore by the end of its first weekend.
The film was released on November 1, alongside Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Starring Ajay Devgn in his iconic role as cop Bajirao Singham, the film opened on a good note and collected Rs 43.5 crore on Day 1. On Day 2 and 3, it collected Rs 42.5 crore and Rs 35 crore, respectively. The dip was not much, but looking at people’s reactions, one can expect a downfall in the coming week.
Among the top-performing places in India were Ahmedabad, with an occupancy rate of 68.25 per cent, and Jaipur, with an occupancy rate of 67.5 per cent. These cities were followed by Mumbai, Chennai, Surat, and Lucknow.

Singham Again is the third installment of the Singham franchise and has been produced by Jio Studios, Rohit Shetty Productions, and Reliance Entertainment. It boasts a star-studded cast comprising Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, along with cameos by Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Jackie Shroff.
Though Salman Khan’s cameo was shot just a few days before the film’s release, it got the biggest response from the people. Videos from theaters show fans whistling and cheering as Salman enters the scene, reprising his role as Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg. Towards the end, the film also promised an exciting collaboration between Singham and Chulbul Pandey, merging the two cop universes.
