Silambarasan being one of the most talented actors of recent times, has condoled the demise of celebrated filmmaker KV Anand. The actor took to his social media handle and shared an emotional note written on a letter pad.

It has to be mentioned that Silambarsan had not worked with KV Anand in his career. However, STR and KV Anand were supposed to join hands for the 2011 blockbuster film KO. Due to some unknown reasons, the combo could not work together.

Therefore, actor Jiiva replaced Silambarasan in the film that also starred Karthika, Ajmal, Pia Bajpai and many others. Today we learned that KV Anand had narrated a story to Silambarasan very recently.

The information was revealed by STR himself in a brief statement which he shared on his microblogging site. The translated version of STR’s Tamil press release is given below.

Back to back deaths startle us.

Though death is unexpected, losing healthy people who are in touch with us, on a daily basis, gives shock.

KV Anand is such a good person who never trembles while talking. I should have acted in his film KO.

But due to circumstances, I had to avoid it.

Of late, he narrated a beautiful story to me. I told him that we can work together.

He was in contact with me daily. My heart refuses to believe that the person who was talking to me until yesterday is no more.

I want this to be fake news.

It is deeply saddening we lost him so soon.

He is one of the most important cinematographer-turned-directors.

He would have definitely given a lot of notable films.

He left very early to the almighty. His loss is a great loss to the film industry.

I express my condolences to his family, friends and film fraternity.

Let him seek solace at the hands of God.

KV Anand suffered a heart attack after going through COVID-19 complications at a private hospital in Chennai. His untimely demise has left the entire film industry saddened. KV Anand previously lastly directed Kaappaan (2019) starring Suriya, Arya, Mohan Lal and Sayessha. He was just 54 when he breathed his last and is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Silambarsan is currently working on Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film also stars SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar, Premji Amaren and many others in supporting roles
