The Uttar Pradesh government released the first installment of Rs 107 crore for the broadening and renovation of roads leading to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The state government has sanctioned Rs 9 billion for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi corridor.
While speaking to media, UP ACS Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi confirmed that the Yogi Adityanath-led government has released the first installment of money for the project.
He further said that the road leading to Ram Janmabhoomi will be broadened by 700 metres and Rs 62 crores have been sanctioned for it. All the three roads have been sanctioned and will be renovated. PWD will execute the work, which will be started soon, he added.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath had given instructions to renovate the three roads and establish six parking spaces for Ayodhya’s development, as per vision plan.
Ayodhya Development Authority has started the parking space construction while renovated roads will be modern with drainage, lighting, cables and footpath system, said ACS Home AK Awasthi.
Earlier this week, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra general secretary Champat Rai told media that the construction of Ayodhya’s grand Ram temple will be completed by December next year and people will be able to have a glimpse of Ram Lalla.
He also said that the construction work is going on at a good pace, so the temple will be ready for devotees in December 2023. He claimed that the design of the temple is such that people will be amazed by it and iron is not being used in the construction work.
