Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is a devotee of Lord Ganesha and every year on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, she welcomes Ganpati bappa at her residence in Mumbai. This year she continued the tradition but there was a change in the same. Instead of welcoming the idol with her husband Raj Kundra, she did it on her own this time.
Few photos and videos featuring Shilpa have gone viral on social media. She was seen at Mumbai’s Lalbaug Ganpati workshop to take the idol. Dressed in a vibrant kurta pant attire, she look every bit elated during the procession.
She was surrounded by paps and she urged them all to chant the greeting on the occasion, ‘Ganpati bappa morya’ and ‘mangal murti morya’. Here are few pictures from the same:
Later, she was seen bringing the idol out of her car with her son Viaan Raj Kundra. She asked him to break the coconut as an auspicious gesture to start the festivity. The video was shared on pap page Voompla with the caption, “Teaching Viaan how the art of phodna Shilpa brings Bappa home! FOLLOW @voomplaINQUIRIES @ppbakshi #voompla #bollywood
