Shibani and Farhan met in 2015 on the sets of the reality TV show I Can Do That, where Farhan was the host and Shibani was one of the contestants. While the rumours of their dating started soon after that, the couple made it public in 2018 when they attended Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone’s reception together.
As per the latest reports, Farhan and Shibani are expected to tie the knot in March this year. While the official news on this is still awaited, it is said that the duo was planning a grand wedding for family, friends and colleagues from the industry but looking at the rising COVID cases, the couple is rethinking their plans.
On the professional front, Farhan Akhtar is making his directorial comeback after 10 years with Jee Le Zaraa. The road trip venture stars Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. Farhan announced the film last year on Instagram and wrote, “Thrilled to announce my next film as director and what better day than 20 years of Dil Chahta Hai to do it. #JeeLeZaraa with @priyankachopra @katrinakaif @aliaabhatt will commence filming in 2022 and I cannot wait to get this show on the road.” The film is written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Reema Kagti. It reportedly going on floors around September 2022 and will be ready for release in the summer of 2023.
