Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar maintained a low profile during the initial weeks of their relationship and spoke about it only after they shared the first picture online. Shortly after setting the internet ablaze, Shibani and Farhan were spotted hanging out with each other’s family which sparked marriage rumours and it finally happened! The lovebirds tied the knot on February 19.

Three months after the wedding, Farhan and Shibani appeared on the cover of Elle magazine and spoke about their relationship, proposal and much more.

First things first, we’ve all wondered how Farhan popped the big question. Speaking about the same, the couple revealed that the Maldives holds a very special place in their heart. Why? While Farhan revealed that it was on the dreamy island where he proposed, Shibbani goes on to add, “It was a very unexpected proposal. I had no idea it was going to happen. We had not even discussed it. But this is again Farhan, when he decides something, he does it. I was never the kind who wanted to get married and have all that jazz. But when Farhan asked, it just felt right in the moment and after the initial shock, I said yes!
