As much as Shah Rukh Khan is the king of Bollywood, his wife, Gauri Khan, is one of the most accomplished interior designers in the country. With her company based in Mumbai, Gauri has a huge list of clientele that includes celebs like Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, and many others.
She is the CEO and founder of Gauri Khan Designs, while also being the producer and co-owner of Red Chillies Entertainment. She was named 42nd in the list of 50 businesswomen in India by Fortune India. Known for her luxurious knack in interior decor, Gauri certainly rides high when it comes to creating safe and comfortable spaces for her clients. Combining opulence and comfort are right up Gauri’s ally.
Recently, the businesswoman took to Instagram and shared photos of her latest project. She shared the interior look of Reliance’s Jio World Centre that has a 3D effect to it. In the caption, she wrote, “cutting edge photorealistic and other related digital 3 d render solutions #gaurikhandesings # design concepts #The jio world centre .. Reliance”.
The ambience looks one-of-a-kind with the black and white glistening floor, floor-to-ceiling transparent sliding doors, white engravings with gold lamp columns, pink and white walls with inset lighting. A huge bowl-shaped chandelier and a round booth with curved chairs and grey cushions just under it are one of the highlighting features. The huge hall also has a seating area in black marble with brown and white finishings and lamps.
A while back Gauri had designed SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment office during the lockdown. Blending minimalist and maximalist themes with a colour palette of black, white and grey, she used leather couches with a black ceiling and a door with a 3D vibe.
Gauri described it as, “Amidst the masculine and minimalistic theme with a color palette of black, white and grey, Kerradeco gave me a wide range of options providing a tactile touch sensation. The innovative infratop ceiling system of VOX soffit promises extraordinary quality as well as reliability. A home away from home, creating a space that was comfortable yet that nurtured creativity. Designing the office with a huge outdoor space was an interesting challenge for me. The ease and comfort to attend virtual meetings as well as creatively brainstorming for future projects at his office at Red Chillies office was my topmost priority for him.”
