The King Khan of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan, is celebrating his 57th birthday on Wednesday (November 2). To mark the King of romance’s birthday, Shah Rukh’s iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) has returned to the silver screens. Yes, you read it right!
The special screening of the Aditya Chopra’s directorial is being held in different cinema halls on Wednesday to pay tribute to SRK.
The same was shared by the official social media handle of Yash Raj Films. The post read, “Our favourite love story is coming back to the silver screen (heart emoji). Watch Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge on 2nd November, 2022 only in Indian Theatres @pvrcinemas_official @inoxmovies @cinepolisindia @iamsrk @kajol #AdityaChopra.”
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which was released in 1995, also starred Kajol, Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Parmeet Sethi, Mandira Bedi, and Anupam Kher, among others in pivotal roles. The film went on to become the longest-running Hindi film of all time. DDLJ at that point in time broke records by bagging 10 Filmfare Awards.
Meanwhile, on SRK’s birthday, the makers of Pathaan released the first teaser of the film and it received immense love. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023.
Sharing the teaser, Shah Rukh wrote, “Apni kursi ki peti baandh lijiye…#PathaanTeaser OUT NOW! Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you on 25th January, 2023. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. @deepikapadukone | @thejohnabraham | #SiddharthAnand | @yrf.”
Pathaan also marks Shah Rukh’s return to the silver screen after a hiatus of four years. He was last seen in Zero (2018) alongside Anushka Sharma.
Apart from Pathaan, he will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, alongside Taapsee Pannu. He also has Atlee’s Jawan with Nayanthara. The film also has Deepika Padukone in a cameo role.
