After a really long time, theatres opened in Maharashtra in the month of October 2021. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s movie, Sooryavanshi was the first big Bollywood movie to release in cinemas. And as one can safely say, people thronged the cinema halls to watch the cop drama starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. It is going to be a nearly month since the movie was released and the film has already shattered many box office records. It is about time that Sooryavanshi will enter the Rs 200 crore club.
Extremely delighted with the success of his film Sooryavanshi, Gulshan Grover aka Kadar Usmani told Times Now Digital, “I cannot explain to you how excited and happy I am. Sooryavanshi is a big success and people are loving and enjoying it. Every actor in the film and especially the few highlights are confrontation (scene) between Akshay Kumar and Gulshan Grover and the arrest scene of Gulshan Grover. And the reaction after that. Multiple sequences where I am a part of it have been mentioned as the highlights.”
As he continued to share his happiness, the actor spoke about his great experience of landing up at the theatre to watch the film and how fans gathered and surrounded his car. Following this, the actor had no way to go to the door of the cinema.
“It was in the compound of the cinema. I waved and acknowledged their love. And the theatre security had to put me back into the car and make way for my car out of the theatre. And they said, ‘You can’t watch the film, sir. They will not let you’. And I was not unhappy,” added Grover.
The actor was extremely happy to see the kind of traction and so many people gather for a film after a long time. When he got a video of the same, the actor shared the clip with his dear friend Akshay Kumar.
“It was Friday afternoon and we all wanted to know. Will the public come? Will the fans come? Akshay Kumar was very happy looking at the video. I shared that video with director Rohit Shetty and he was very happy because when you watch a video in which one of the actors is surrounded by hundreds of people (you feel good). They have climbed the wall and they are standing near the electric pole. So I am very pleased and happy that fans love my work and very pleased by the fact that I am still relevant,” the veteran actor shared.
