After writing a letter to Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu against the ‘harassment that he and his acquaintances are facing by the Enforcement Directorate’, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut launched a scathing attack at the BJP and its leaders. While speaking to mediapersons in Delhi, Raut threatened saying if Maha Vikas Aghadi starts entering the homes of BJP leaders, they will have nowhere to go. Raut also took an indirect attack on former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
“If we start entering in your houses, you will not able to reach Nagpur also. Next time, I am going to speak from outside the ED office. ED is working as a BJP agent and running a criminal syndicate. I will expose how vasooli via ED is being done by BJP leaders. How opposition leaders are threatened, I will expose everything,” Raut said.
BJP launched a counter-attack led by Ameet Satam. Satam said that Raut’s role in MVA is only of a messenger and nothing else.
“Mumbai is not your (Raut) private property or gifted to you by anyone. In the MVA government, your role is of just messenger and nothing else. You should be within your limits,” the BJP MLA said.
Satam said that Raut is making such wild allegations only because ED arrested his close associate Nitin Raut and exposed his other partner Sujit Patkar.
“Raut seems baffled after ED crackdown against his business partners. Shiv Sena is targeting Kirit Somaiya only because he is exposing their corruption and bringing out the real face of Shiv Sena in public,” Satam said.
Talking about the recent incident where BJP leader Kirit Somiaya was heckled by Shiv Sena party workers in Pune, Satam challenged Raut to keep police and administration aside and have a one on one fight.
“Doing such things or vandalism is not our culture but if you understand this language only, then we might have to use the same against you to make you understand things,” Satam said.
BJP leader Ram Kadam also launched a scathing attack on Raut, saying that the agencies are acting against only those who have indulged in corruption. He added that Raut should abstain from making such threats and face investigation.
“Against somebody (Raut) who is facing serious corruption allegations, he should abstain from giving out threats. A corruption syndicate is run by you and not by ED. ED is doing its job of cleaning up the mess of corruption. We can also use aggressive language like you if forced,” Kadam said.
