Fans were left heartbroken when Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation in a social media post in October last year. Recently, during her appearance on Koffee With Karan season 7, the actress opened up about her estranged husband.
While talking about how the former couple announced their separation openly, the show’s host Karan Johar asked Samantha if she feels that a lot of the trolling was a result of her putting herself out there.
Replying to this, the actress said, “Yeah, so I couldn’t really complain about it because I chose that path, I chose to be transparent and I chose to reveal a lot of my life and when the separation happened, I couldn’t be too upset about it because they invested in my life and it was my responsibility to have answers, which I didn’t at that point of time and I think I came out of it okay. Better than okay.”
Samantha added, “I read this amazing line this book called Greenlights, which Matthew McConaughey wrote and he said, ‘In the art of life, I haven’t scored all As but I would rather take an experienced C over an ignorant A any day’. So, I think that yeah I haven’t scored all As but it’s fine.”
Further, during the interaction, when Karan asked Samantha how’s life been for her post separation from Chay, she said, “It has been hard but it’s good now. It’s fine, I am stronger than I have ever been.”
The filmmaker also went on to ask if there are any hard feelings between the estranged couple. To this, Samantha replied, “Like if you put us both in a room, you have to hide sharp objects? Yeah, as of now yes.” She also went on to say that the situation is not amicable between them right now but she hopes that it will be in the future.
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya got married in October 2017 after dating each other for a long time. The estranged couple had announced their separation a few days before their fourth wedding anniversary.
