Not just in the Telugu film industry but Samantha Ruth Prabhu has become one of the most loved celebs across the country. The diva recently featured on the third episode of Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan. She was accompanied by Akshay Kumar. During the show, Samantha talked about many things cadidly.
While sharing a list by Ormax, Karan went on to reveal that Samantha is the most popular female star across India, followed by Alia Bhatt, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone and Kajal Aggarwal.
Reacting to this, Samantha joked, “I should be honest, I am paying someone at Ormax.” Karan further asked her, “You beat Alia Bhatt. How does that feel?” To this, the actress said, “Sorry. It was a high price to pay.”
During the episode, Samantha also talked about her estranged husband Naga Chaitanya. The couple parted ways last year. They had announced their separation in a social media post. After the announcement was made, Samantha was trolled online brutally.
While talking about if she feels that a lot of the trolling was a result of her putting herself out there, the actress said, “Yeah, so I couldn’t really complain about it because I chose that path, I chose to be transparent and I chose to reveal a lot of my life and when the separation happened, I couldn’t be too upset about it because they invested in my life and it was my responsibility to have answers, which I didn’t at that point of time and I think I came out of it okay. Better than okay.”
Meanwhile, on the movie front, Samantha has some interesting projects coming up. She will be soon starring in the movies Shaakuntalam, Yashoda, and Kushi. There have also been reports about Samantha’s Bollywood debut but an official announcement is awated.
