The first trailer of MCU’s Thor: Love and Thunder was released earlier today, and, pausing for a dramatic drumroll, it is magnificent. If you thought the tease had it all, wait, till you watch the trailer as it promises every genre of entertainment you can expect.
The 2-minute-15-second video weaves the aftereffects of Avengers: Endgame and tells the story of the much-loved demigod, who is now navigating his life to find purpose while wrestling with the thought of reclaiming his title as the mighty God of Thunder.
The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Russell Crowe as Zeus and Christian Bale as Gorr the God Gutcher. This is the first time fans got a glimpse of Christian Bale’s villainous avatar as Gorr the God Butcher, who appears as an eerie white figure with hollowed eyes and a scratching tone. His menacing disposition has given fans a reason to shed excitement on social media, and oh boy! they did.
In fact, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu gave the actor a special mention on Instagram. The diva, who couldn’t keep calm over Bale’s performance in the short trailer, took to Instagram Story, and after reacting to the trailer by writing “Dead”, she shared a still of Bale’s Gorr and called him “The God of acting”.
Besides this, Bale’s social media applause as Gorr the God Butcher has also got fans talking about his famous dialogue from his second Batman film The Dark Knight, ” You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
