As a part of the Green India Challenge 5.0, Bollywood actor Salman Khan took a detour from his shooting schedule to plant saplings. The Hyderabad Ramoji Film City is where the saplings were planted. Salman had joined Rajya Sabha MP and Green India Founder J Santosh Kumar.
The actor took to Twitter and posted a picture of him planting saplings. He wrote, “I have accepted #GreenindiaChallenge from @MPsantoshtrs garu and I have planted saplings at Ramoji Film City. I request all my fans to participate in this challenge to control global warming…”
Santosh Kumar also took to Instagram and shared a bunch of photos. He wrote, “#GreenIndiaChallenge is delighted to have the Bollywood Sultan in Hyderabad. Euphoric to have the company of @BeingSalmanKhan to plant saplings. He not only accept our invitation but felt proud to be part of #GIC. This would definitely inspire millions of his fanbase to replicate.”
Salman fans loved this new venture of him. One wrote, “Megastar SALMAN KHAN” while another wrote, “One more reason added to millions of reasons why u should love him.”
Speaking about the event, a report by News 18 stated, that he advised everyone to take responsibility for the plantation programme and provide the saplings with proper care until they become large trees. He continued by expressing regret at the enormous loss brought on by natural disasters, such as floods and periods of heavy rain. Promoting extensive crops is the only way to stop people’s loss.
Salman also lauded TRS MP Santosh for undertaking the significant responsibility of the plantation initiative. He claimed that the MP’s efforts to increase India’s green cover will contribute to the protection of the planet and future generations. He urged his supporters to take part in the Green India Challenge and widely plant seedlings.
Salman is currently filming in Hyderabad for his forthcoming movie, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Pictures from Hyderabad have been appearing online constantly since the actor flew down for the movie a few days ago. Salman will also make a comeback with his Tiger series franchise. For Tiger 3, Salman and Katrina Kaif are reuniting. Shah Rukh Khan also makes a cameo appearance in the movie. Salman also makes a brief appearance in Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback movie.
In addition, Salman makes a brief appearance in the next Godfather movie starring Chiranjeevi.
