Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his father and writer Salim Khan received a threat letter from an anonymous person on Sunday, June 5. The Bandra Police have launched a probe into the matter and have issued an FIR against an unknown person.
According to a report, the letter containing threatening remarks was lying near the Bandra Bandstand promenade. It was first discovered by Salim’s Khan security personnel.
“Salim Khan follows a morning routine where he goes for a walk on the promenade accompanied by his security personnel. There’s a location where he typically takes a break. A chit had been left behind on a bench,” a police officer was quoted as saying by The Times Of India.
“Moose Wala jaisa kar dunga,” read the unsigned chit as per the report, referring to the horrific killing of popular Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala. The officials are currently examining the CCTVs of the area in order to find the offender who left the letter.
On May 29, Sidhu Moose Wala was gruesomely gunned down by unknown assailants in Punjab’s Mansa. The attack took place a day after the Punjab government withdrew his security cover. While the concerned authorities are investigating the murder, the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang is suspected to be involved in the matter.
Back in 2018, the same gang had threatened Salman Khan when the blackbuck poaching case was in court.
Days after Sidhu Moose Wala’s killing, reports surfaced that the Dabangg star’s security had been beefed up. The Mumbai Police, however, quashed any such development, saying that Salman is under the same security cover as before.
