Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is being showered with love online by his friends and family members ahead of the release of his much-awaited movie Vikram Vedha. Also starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, the movie which is a remake of R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil flick of the same name is all set to arrive in the theatres on September 30. Ahead of the release, Kareena Kapoor and his sister Saba Pataudi turned cheerleaders for him.
After Bebo shared her review on social media, Saif’s sister took to her Instagram handle to give the actor a shoutout. She also called Vikram Vedha brilliant.
Later, Saba pulled out a rare gem from her archive and penned a sweet note. It shows a young Saif posing for the camera. Sharing it, she wrote, “Boy…WHO? I grew up with this picture, as Amma had framed it with the ones of me n her, on our bedroom wall. Love you bro! Watch #vikramvedha it’s 👌
In the neo-noir action thriller, Saif will be seen playing a tough cop while Hrithik will essay the role of a dreaded gangster. The story is based on an Indian folktale Vikram aur Betaal. The Hindi adaption is also written and helmed by Pushkar and Gayatri. It also stars actors Rohit Saraf and Radhika Apte in important roles.
Vikram Vedha will clash with ace director Mani Ratnam’s Tamil-language period drama Ponniyin Selvan – 1 at the box office.
