Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals, who reached the final of the 2022 edition, will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their first match of the 2023 season. RR will be one of two teams to use different home grounds in the 16th edition of the tournament, as alongside their home base in Jaipur, they will also play some games in Guwahati.
The Royals are placed in Group A of the competition alongside Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals.

RR will look to build on their incredible campaign in 2022 and win the title for the first time since the inaugural edition in 2023. RR’s Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal won the orange and purple caps last season.
This is the first time, RR will play their home against at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium. RR will play two games in Assam before playing their last five home games in Jaipur. This will be the first time 2019 that RR will play at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
