The Indian cricket team are set to take on Bangladesh in the final match of the two Test-match series , starting on Thursday, December 22. India are already leading 1-0 in the series and will be looking for a clean sweep with a win in the second match at Mirpur. However, the team have been already dealt a double blow before the start of the game.
Rohit Sharma who had already missed the 1st Test match due to an injury he had suffered to his thumb during the 2nd ODI, will be out for the second Test match as well, the BCCI confirmed in an official press release. KL Rahul will continue as the stand-in skipper in the absence of Rohit Sharma.
In addition to the skipper, right arm pacer Navdeep Saini too has been ruled out of the game after suffering a lower abdominal strain. He will now return to NCA to rehabilitate from his injury.
