Ricky Ponting rushed to hospital following heart scare while commentating during Aus vs WI Test

Legendary Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting, who is a part of the commentary panel for the Australia vs West Indies Test series, was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart scare on December 2. Ponting, who is Channel 7’s star commentator left the ground around lunch time and missed the afternoon sessions.
“Ricky Ponting is unwell and will not be providing commentary for the remainder of today’s coverage,” a Channel 7 spokesperson said via The Daily Telegraph. Ponting is a part of the commentary panel for Channel 7 along with former Australian cricketers Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer.
“On Nov 30, Ponting took to social media to post a photograph with Hayden and Langer with a caption that read, Looking forward to this. On @7cricket all summer.”
Ponting is one of the greatest cricketers to have played the game and the Australian team scaled new heights under his leadership. He has also played a key role in the Indian Premier League (IPL) – where he has honed the skills of several players during his tenure with the Mumbai Indians (MI). He is currently associated with the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the franchise has produced good results in the last few years under his guidance.
