Jason Watkins, the brother-in-law of ace choreographer-filmmaker Remo D’Souza, is no more. He was found dead at his residence on Thursday. Jason’s sister Lizelle D’Souza has shared heartbreaking notes on social media.
Jason was reportedly found dead at his home in Mumbai’s Millat Nagar. As per reports, he was taken to Andheri’s Cooper hospital and the investigation is currently underway. The Oshiwara Police is yet to release an official statement.
On Thursday afternoon, Jason’s sister took to her social media to share throwback pictures and wrote, “Why??????? How could u do this to me. I will never forgive u.” She also shared a childhood picture with her late brother with the caption ‘why’. Sharing a picture of Jason with their mum, the bereaved sister wrote, “Am sorry mum I failed u.”
Lizelle and Remo had jetted off to Goa earlier this week for a friend’s wedding. After hearing the shocking news, they returned to Mumbai on Thursday evening. Remo’s wife Lizelle, who’s in a state of shock, revealed that she received a call from her father earlier today about Jason’s death. She told ETimes that her brother Jason ended his life when their father had gone for dialysis. She revealed, “Daddy forced the door open somehow and found Jason had taken his life. Daddy has been undergoing dialysis since some time. I don’t know what he did to himself as I am just on my way to Papa’s house. Jason and my dad stayed together.”
Lizelle also revealed that no suicide note has been found yet. But she feels that her brother took the extreme step because he couldn’t come to terms with their mother’s death. “I just landed an hour ago. Daddy called me in Goa to tell me about Jason. I had gone to Goa to attend a wedding. Remo and I just don’t know what to do. We are in a state of a terrible shock,” she told the portal.
Jason worked as an assistant director for Remo D’Souza’s production house. As per reports, he has worked on multiple projects with the ABCD director.
