The BTS boys have been together for so long that they might as well be family. But, of course, it took time before they become this uncomfortable with one another. In fact, once they even sat down to reveal their first impressions of each other and V went on to narrate the cutest of stories that will certainly warm your heart.
As part of the BTS Live Trilogy concert series, which took place in 2015, the boys released a section titled BTS Begins, wherein they addressed their beginnings and perceptions of each other. It was then that Jin stated the reason why he noticed V amongst all the trainees.
If you are wondering if it’s because of boyish good looks, then nope, it is not! The real MVP was his red jacket and his mom who shipped it to him. Here’s what worldwide handsome Jin had to say about seeing V for the first time – “I came home from school and all the boys were in the training room. Along with the familiar faces, there he was, the boy I had never seen before. Wasn’t he wearing the red padded North Face brand jacket?”
Turns out, those jackets are pretty expensive, but V’s mom had a pretty good reason to ship them to him. According to V, she sent him the jacket because she did not want other kids in Seoul to look down upon him. How absolutely adorable is that?
She chose red because according to her, it would stand out the most. Good choice mama Kim! As the winter bear of BTS narrated her reason, the members even pulled his leg by saying, “V, don’t cry”, which means he still must have been missing his family all the time.
For those of you who may be unaware, Seoul is one of the most expensive and posh places in South Korea. V himself is not a Seoul native, but from Daegu, and so his mom must have wanted him to feel on par with the Seoul kids.
Wasn’t this the cutest story you read on the internet all day? The other boys too had their chance with Jungkook even revealing that RM wasn’t wearing any pants when they had their first encounter. Jin’s surprisingly good memory helped out a ton and he even revealed that Suga used to wear pine-scented perfume during those days. The boys sure have come a long way since then!
