Ravichandran Ashwin engages in hilarious conversation with fan; looks for show of Tamil movie in Guwahati

The Indian cricket team arrived in Guwahati for the second T20I between India and South Africa on Sunday (October 2). The match will take place at the city’s famous Barsapara Stadium where the Men in Blue will look to wrap up a series win.
The Rohit Sharma-led side made a brilliant start to the series by securing a brilliant 8-wicket victory in the series opener at the Greenfield International Stadium at Thiruvananthapuram. A world-class bowling effort by the hosts saw them make just 107 runs in the first innings with Arshdeep Singh leading the way with a three-wicket that included a sensational spell with the new-ball. Later, a quick-fire half-century by Suryakumar Yadav and a gritty fifty from KL Rahul saw India complete an easy win.
As eyes turn on the game in Guwahati, Ravichandran Aswhin was looking to watch a recently released Tamil Movie named ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ in the city. Ashwin put out a tweet asking for show timings in the city for the film. “Guwahati!! Any shows of #PonniyinSelvan1 in Tamil ? Do your thing #Twitter,” wrote Ashwin on the microblogging site.
In response, a fan shared a screenshot of the movie being aired in a theater in Guwahati. However, it turned out that the timing clashed with India’s practice schedule. The same Twitter gave Ashwin a hilarious reply urging the off-spinner to skip practice and claimed he will ask Rahul Dravid for permission to do the same. This led to Ashwin responding with a few laughing emojis.
Talking about Ashwin, he came back into the team for the series opener after sitting on the bench for all three games against Australia. The veteran spinner bowled an incredible spell that saw him concede just 8 runs in his four overs and helped continue the incredible momentum set up by the pacers.
