Renowned rapper and singer King, celebrated for his distinctive musical style and heartfelt songs, is embarking on a new creative venture. Amazon Prime Video has announced that King will make his acting debut in their upcoming original series, Lukkha. The announcement was made by Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India.

Described as a coming of age series brimming with music and action, The show combines King’s musical talent with a cinematic story. “Our experience with them has been so good that both the creators and us are already in conversations to say, what more can we do together,” Madhok said.

The series will feature a young, energetic cast, and promises to channel the raw energy of today’s youth culture into a visually impactful and high energy experience. While more details, including the full cast and release date, are still under wraps, Lukkha already stands out as one of the platform’s most anticipated releases.

King’s New Track

Adding to the excitement, King released his new single “Yeh Zindagi Hai”, which is a part of his album “Shayad Koi Na Sune”. The song has a slow, deeply emotional tone. It is sung, written and composed by King himself.

The song is produced by Bharg and mixed and mastered by Hanish Taneja. Previously released songs from the album include Sab Be Asar and Speak Softly.

King’s journey

King first rose to fame in 2019 as a breakout contestant on MTV Hustle. Though he didn’t win the show, he won over the audience with tracks like Ghumshudaa, Maahaul, and Gold Raja. He then went on to deliver superhits like Tu Aake Dekh Le, Maan Meri Jaan, She Doesn’t Give A, and Kodak, firmly establishing himself in the Indian indie music scene.
