Raju Srivastava still on ventilator, comedian’s daughter requests fans, media to only trust statements from family

Raju Srivastava was admitted to Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences on August 10 after suffering a heart attack. He was working out in a hotel’s gym at the time of the incident. The comedian was rushed to AIIMS where he underwent angioplasty and he has since been on life support in the intensive care unit.
Earlier  reports stated that the comic has finally gained consciousness after 15 days of hospitalisation and his condition is improving. However, his daughter has now shared an official statement.
In the note posted on Raju’s official Instagram page, his daughter requested the media and the comedian’s fans to only trust statements issued by them and the hospital. She also said that the 58-year-old comic is still on the ventilator.
“Dear all well-wishers, My dad Mr. Raju Srivastava Ji’s condition is stable and he continues to recover slowly. He is on the ventilator at the moment,” Antara wrote.
“Only statements from AIIMS Delhi and Raju Ji’s official social media accounts are trustworthy and genuine.
Any other news or statements from anyone else is unreliable. The doctors and their entire team at AIIMS Delhi are working hard and diligently. We’re thankful to them and all his well-wishers,” she added.
The statement further read, “Request you all to continue your love and prayers for his speedy recovery. With love and gratitude from, Antara Srivastava (Raja Srivastava Ji’s daughter).”
Earlier, the stand-up comedian turned politician’s brother had recently shared a video message for fans. In the video, he expressed gratitude towards the fans and rubbished rumours about Raju’s health. “He is a fighter and will soon come back winning the battle and will entertain everyone with his comedy,” he said.
