Kantara featuring Kollywood superstar Rishab Shetty is showing no signs of slowing down as the film created magic on the big screen all over the world. Even after two months later, the Kannada version of the film is still soaring high as it hits the theatre on September 30.
Whether it’s the box office or the hearts of the audience, the movie has set its distinct charm all across the world.
Rishab Shetty receives a special gift from Rajinikanth
Earlier today, the superstar Rajinikanth called the actor to meet him personally at his Chennai residence where he bestowed him with a gold chain and a locket for the massive success of Kantara in every version. This has added an extra feather to the rising glory of Kantara.
Earlier, the Shiva actor also took to Twitter as he sang high praise for the film and penned down a heartfelt note. Rajini wrote, “The unknown is more than the known” no one could have said this better in cinema than @hombalefilms #KantaraMovie you gave me goosebumps @shetty_rishab Rishab hats off to you as a writer, director and actor. Congrats to the whole cast and crew of this masterpiece in Indian cinema.”
However, after the film hit the big screen in Hindi, Kantara recorded the highest single-day collection of Rs. 4.50 crore and broke new records. To date, the fans are waiting for the film to enter the Rs 400 crore club and minted Rs 75 crore for its Hindi version. Not just this, the Rishab Shetty written and directed film has also received praise from dignitaries of the Ministry of India to famous personalities from different fields. ‘Kantara’ has been praised by everyone and it is making a lot of noise about its success ever since its release.
Kantara was released in the Kannada version and Hindi version on 30th September and 14th October respectively. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, under Hombale Films, besides Rishab Shetty, Kantara also stars Sapthami Gowda, Kishore and Achyuth Kumar in pivotal roles.
