Rahul Gandhi questioned for his remarks of women being sexually assaulted

The Delhi police team paid a visit to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s residence  in connection with a notice he received for his remark during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, in which he asserted that “women are still being sexually harassed.”
According to sources, a police squad led by Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda came at Gandhi’s 12, Tughlaq Lane apartment.
Following his social media statements, the police sent Gandhi a questionnaire, demanding that he submit information on any women who had approached him about sexual harassment.
The squad arrived at Gandhi’s apartment at 12, Tughlaq Lane, according to officials.
Rahul Gandhi reportedly claimed during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kashmir, “I have heard that women are still being sexually harassed.” Authorities had urged him to submit information on these victims so that they could be protected, according to officials.
“In one particular case, I asked a girl, she had been raped, I asked her should we call the police, she said that don’t call the police then I will be shamed”, Rahul had said.
Rahul Gandhi made a similar allegation in his controversial address at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, where he stated that two women approached him and held his hand while he was strolling in Kashmir during his Bharat Jodo Yatra. Something unusual happened to me. It was a frantic attempt to grasp my hand. So, I glanced at her and asked, explain to me what is happening?”.
When he approached them, one of the ladies claimed, “my sister and I were gang raped by five males,” according to him.
“This is not controversation, you do, when you meet a person first time. My first reaction was let’s call the cops, but the girls said I cannot call the cops. If you call the cops, we will be shamed and we are never getting to go married. We just wanted our brother to know what is happening and they walked away,” Gandhi said at Cambridge.
