The Punjab Police has tightened security near late Punjabi Singh Sidhu Moose Wala’s residence in the Mansa district of the state. Around 150 cops have been reportedly deployed around the village. A police vehicle installed with an LMG has also been deployed near Moose Wala’s house.
As per sources, security has been tightened near the late Punjabi singer’s residence after his family gets threat. However, the police called it a mock drill. Mansa’s Inspector General of Police Surendra Pal Singh Parmar interacted with the people of the village and told them that the Punjab Police is always with them.
Parmar said that as per the latest survey, Punjab is in the second spot in terms of security. He added that the movement of businesses out of Ludhiana is not due to crime. The police officer further stated that the deployment of security near Moose Wala’s place is part of a mock drill and it will be conducted at regular intervals.
Earlier this week, Moose Wala’s Mahindra Thar in which he breathed his last was returned to his family. In May this year, Moose Wala was killed by a group of assailants near his village. He was riding the Thar at that time. The vehicle still bore marks of bullets that killed the Punjabi singer on May 29.
After the Thar arrived at Mosse Wala’s home, his father became emotional. He said that he would not repair the vehicle and would keep it as it is. After Moose Wala’s murder, Canada-based Goldy Brar, who is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility. In June this year, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder case said Bishnoi confessed to having hatched the plan to eliminate the singer in August 2021.
