PSL 2023: Know Pakistan Super League Prize Money – Winner, Runner Up, and more

Pakistan Super League 2023: The eighth edition of Pakistan’s premier Twenty20 tournament, the Pakistan Super League, kickstarted on February 13 in Multan while the closing ceremony and the final match of the season will be held on March 19 in Lahore.

Pakistan Super League 2023 Prize Money

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier announced that the winner of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will not only lift the Supernova Trophy but will also collect a cheque of PKR120m, while the runners-up will receive a cheque of PKR48m.

Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 winners Lahore Qalandars won a cash prize of PKR 80,000,000 which is around Rs 3.4 crore in Indian rupee. PSL 2022 runners-up Multan Sultans got a cash prize of PKR 32,000,000, around Rs 1.37 crore in Indian rupee.

PSL 2023 Winner and Runner-Up

All six franchises, including, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators have won the HBL PSL title at least once, which underscores the quality of all six sides and the higher level of competition in the tournament.

Islamabad United, the inaugural champions, is the only side to win the HBL PSL title twice- the second time in 2018. Peshawar Zalmi won the 2017 edition. Quetta Gladiators, who were the finalists in the first two editions, won the 2019 competition.
Similarly, Karachi Kings were the first side to win to lift the trophy at their home when they rolled over Lahore Qalandars in Karachi in 2020 while Multan Sultans bagged their maiden title in 2021, and last year, Lahore Qalandars lifted the HBL PSL trophy in Lahore.
PSL 2023- Other details

In the inaugural match of PSL 2023, Multan Sultans, the winners of the 2021 edition won against the hosting title defenders Lahore Qalandars at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

More than 36 foreign players representing 10 T20I-playing countries are playing in the 34-day, 34-match tournament. T20 World Cup winners Adil Rashid and Matthew Wade, along with Wanindu Hasaranga, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Jimmy Neesham, and Tabraiz Shamsi made their debuts at the event.
