Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and actress Alia Bhatt share a special bond and that is no secret. The Student of the Year director is Alia’s ‘father’, mentor and best friend. So, when his baby girl welcomed her first child with Ranbir Kapoor on Sunday, Kjo’s heart was full of joy.
To express his emotions, he took to social media and penned a heartfelt note wishing Alia and RK. Along with the message, he posted a throwback picture with the couple from their intimate wedding ceremony in April.
Karan wrote, “My heart is full of love…. Welcome to the world baby girl… you have so much love waiting for you….. I love you @aliaabhatt and RK!! To the moon and back!!!! So this makes me a proud Nana!!!!
Alia gave birth to the baby girl on Sunday afternoon at Sir HN Reliance hospital in South Mumbai. She posted a joint statement on her Instagram to share the good news with friends and fans. “And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here..and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed PARENTS! love love love – Alia and Ranbir,” it read.
Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and other celebrities congratulated the new parents on the baby’s arrival.
The Brahmastra couple got married in April 2022 after dating each other for five years. The duo had announced the pregnancy two months after they tied the knot.
