A Special Investigation Team probe (SIT) was recently announced by Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager Disha Salian. Found dead on June 8, 2020, just a week before Sushant Singh Rajput’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his residence, Disha’s death raised a lot of eyebrows. Additionally, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane demanded that former Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray undergo a narco test in connection with the case.
Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister announces a SIT into Disha Salian’s case
Announcing in the House that the case is already with the Mumbai Police, Fadnavis said, “Those who have proof can furnish it. This will be probed through an SIT. Furthermore, Fadnavis assured everyone that the investigation would be conducted impartially without targeting anyone, backing Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar’s assertion that the probe should not be viewed from a political perspective.
BJP MLA Nitesh Rane also stepped in and demanded that former minister Aaditya Thackeray, whose name has been linked to Salian’s death, undergo a narco test. Rane has asserted multiple times that Disha Salian was murdered and even claimed to have evidence to support the claim. Accusing Disha Salian’s boyfriend Rohan Rai in the case, Rane stated that Rai knew everything about the ‘murder’ and disappeared after her death.
About Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Ragput’s death
Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020, after falling off the 14th floor of a building. The Mumbai Police finally closed the case in 2021 as they had found no evidence of foul play in the case. Since she passed away just days before Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, her death raised many questions. Sushant had been found hanging from the ceiling fan of his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020. His death was labelled as death by suicide.
